Mt.
Laurel Animal Hospital
Challenge:
Mt. Laurel Animal Hospital was looking for a website
that would be informative as well as educational, all the while opening new
lines of communication that might have well not been possible before.
Solution:
E-Studio191 used its experience
to design a simple and functional site that would relay the
care and concern for the hospital's patients as well as keep
pet owners up to date with current information concerning the
care of their pets. We designed the site to be intuitively
easy to navigate as well as to find the information the viewer
is looking for in as few "clicks" as possible.
We approached
the redesign of the site so the look and feel would be "easy
on the eyes", so the viewer wouldn't be overwhelmed with
a cluttered look. We did this by using "white space" instead
of using every inch of space for information; it is easier
for viewers to scan for the pertinent information. We also
wanted to include a way to have viewers interact with the veterinarians
by writing in and asking questions. We did this by combining
from the old site, "Frequently Asked Questions" and "Ask
the Vet," into one page. By providing this forum in a
condensed manner, we enabled the hospital to interact with
owners by posting articles of interest as well as allowing
viewers to write in and ask questions. By allowing viewers'
questions and answers to be displayed on the website, we assist
other owners that may have the same questions.
We also
took the time to design the site to allow integration with
other services and information that may be provided in the
future, so as not to change the overall layout of the site
and prevent confusion of their current viewers.
Result:
In this case, Mt.Laurel Animal
Hospital decided to give us complete freedom in the re-design
of their site. As a result, the new cleaner look greets viewers
with information in such a way that welcomes the viewers to the
hospital and its many services. With the redesign of the website
it is sure to be a welcome tool for the animal hospital.
